Make a difference supporting students as a Special Education Teacher through a rewarding school year contract opportunity beginning August 7th, 2024, and continuing through May 28th, 2025. Multiple elementary, middle, and high schools have openings for dedicated educators to support resource, learning disabilities self-contained, emotional disabilities self-contained, COAP, and SET classrooms, serving students from early childhood through high school.

This contract offers 35-40 hours per week in a dynamic, supportive educational environment. You'll collaborate with school teams using innovative approaches to reach each student where they are, creating an inclusive classroom culture and fostering growth and achievement. All interview panels will be conducted via Teams with onboarding requirements consistent with district standards.

Qualifications:

• Active Special Education (SPED) License
• Valid teaching certificate with a Learning Disabilities or Multicategorical Special Education endorsement
• Experience working with resource and/or self-contained classrooms (elementary, middle, or high school) preferred
• Demonstrated commitment to individualized instruction and inclusive education
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small group instruction in accordance with student IEPs
• Create, adapt, and deliver lesson plans that address diverse learning needs
• Manage classroom behaviors and foster a positive, supportive learning environment
• Track student progress and participate in IEP meetings
• Communicate regularly with families, related service providers, and school staff
• Uphold district policies and professional standards
