Job Description

This contract position offers 35 to 40 hours per week of hands-on teaching experience in diverse special education settings.

This role focuses on serving students with various needs, including resource support, learning disabilities, and emotional disabilities in both self-contained and resource environments. Available positions span elementary (7:00 am - 2:30 pm), middle (8:00 am - 3:00 pm), and high school schedules (8:00 am - 3:30 pm), providing flexibility to match your professional strengths and preferences.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education (SPED) teaching license
  • Teaching certificate with endorsements in Learning Disabilities or Multicategorical Special Education
  • Strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students with special needs
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction tailored to students needs in resource and self-contained classroom settings
  • Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
  • Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
  • Communicate regularly with school staff and families to support student growth
  • Participate in professional development and district onboarding processes as required
