This full-time Special Education Teacher position offers an opportunity to work onsite in a high school Autism Support classroom in West Chester, PA. The role focuses on delivering specialized instructional support to students with autism, contributing to their academic growth and social development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of high school students with autism.
- Deliver specialized instruction and support within the Autism Support classroom.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including parents, administrators, and other educators, to ensure student success.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and compliance with state and district regulations.
Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching License required.
- Candidates with certification or emergency certification in special education will be considered.
- Experience working with high school students in special education, particularly in autism support, is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
