Qualifications and Experience:

• Current teaching certification with endorsement in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
• Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred)
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher or similar role in a K-12 setting
• Strong understanding of IEP development and progress monitoring
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with various learning challenges and classroom accommodations

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized instructional plans to meet student needs
• Develop, execute, and track student progress on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit different learning styles and abilities
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom culture that supports student engagement
• Communicate regularly with families and caregivers about student progress and goals
• Maintain required documentation and comply with state, district, and federal regulations
