This full-time role is designed for dedicated Special Education Teachers eager to make a meaningful difference in either an elementary or high school setting. As part of a vibrant educational community, youll work with manageable caseloads, ensuring every student receives focused attention and support.
Opportunities are available for two talented professionals one to guide elementary students in a resource room environment for grades 4 and 5, and another to support high schoolers in a Special Education ELA classroom featuring a blend of pull-out instruction and co-teaching. Both roles are based at single sites, allowing you to create consistent, lasting relationships with students and staff.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching license for Missouri (MO SPED)
- Experience working in K-12 special education environments, ideally with resource rooms or co-teaching models
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with general educators, administrators, and families
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs and manage a classroom designed for exceptional learners
- Genuine passion for inclusion, advocacy, and differentiated instruction
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support tailored to students with varied learning and behavioral needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teaching teams and paraprofessionals to integrate effective interventions
- Maintain organized records and comply with all relevant state and district requirements
- Engage with students, families, and colleagues to help each learner thrive
