Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Assistive Technology Credential (IL AT Creds) required
  • Certified Special Education Teacher with proven experience supporting diverse learning needs
  • Demonstrated knowledge of assistive technology tools, applications, and best practices
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with general/special education staff, students, and families
  • Adaptable, problem-solving mindset and commitment to inclusive education

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assess student individual needs related to assistive technology in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Recommend, implement, and monitor technology solutions that support curriculum access and learning outcomes
  • Provide training, coaching, and technical assistance to staff, students, and families on device usage and strategies
  • Serve as a resource for the Early Childhood Assessment Team and elementary buildings, supporting students across multiple sites
  • Manage a varied caseload, tailoring support plans based on student profiles and IEP objectives
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance with state and district guidelines
