This full-time Special Education Teacher position offers an exciting opportunity to support elementary students in a resource classroom setting focused on 4th and 5th grade. The contract runs from ASAP through May 29, 2026, with weekly hours ranging from 35 to 37.5.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with special education needs in compliance with IEPs and state guidelines
• Develop, implement, and modify lesson plans tailored to diverse learner needs within the resource classroom
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to foster student success and maintain consistent communication
• Monitor and assess student progress, documenting outcomes and adapting instructional techniques accordingly
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports social, emotional, and academic growth

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Illinois Special Education teaching license and Professional Educator License (PEL) are required
• Prior hands-on experience working in a school setting as a Special Education teacher
• Strong candidate with demonstrated ability to manage classrooms and support elementary students effectively
• Capable of working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary educational team
