Set in a vibrant, collaborative school environment, youll work a consistent full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:15am to 3:15pm, ensuring both structure and predictability.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching credential with appropriate endorsement for early childhood (pre-K).
  • Prior experience supporting students with mild to moderate disabilities, ideally in early childhood or elementary settings.
  • Current fingerprint clearance specific to pre-K teaching requirements (or willingness to obtain prior to start).
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
  • Exceptional classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to foster communication and a supportive, inclusive environment for young learners.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Guide and instruct a caseload of 13 pre-K students, designing engaging and differentiated lesson plans.
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with general educators, support staff, and families.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adapting strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Create a safe and enriching classroom culture promoting social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Actively participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events as required.
