This part-time contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide specialized instruction and support to a caseload of 19 students in a high school setting. With a consistent morning schedule, youll have afternoons free for professional development or personal pursuits.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (state-specific requirements apply)
• Experience working with high school students in a special education environment
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Effective classroom management and communication skills
• Collaborative mindset to work with faculty, support staff, and families
• Ability to adapt lessons to diverse learning needs and modalities

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor educational programs based on each students IEP
• Maintain accurate and timely records, including progress reports and IEP documentation
• Foster a positive and supportive environment that encourages student engagement
• Consult and collaborate with general education teachers and support personnel
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
