Step into a rewarding summer assignment supporting students in an Autism Summer School classroom. This contract position runs from July 7, 2026, through August 6, 2026, with a schedule of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8 a.m. to noon. Located near Warren, MI, this opportunity is ideal for Special Education Teachers who are passionate about empowering students and fostering a positive learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Active Special Education Teacher certification is required (emergency or substitute permits are not accepted)
• Previous experience working with students on the autism spectrum is preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Committed to creating an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere
• Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet individual student needs

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate engaging lessons tailored to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in daily instruction
• Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and paraprofessionals to ensure holistic student support
• Maintain accurate progress records and provide ongoing feedback to students and families
• Foster a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
