Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Certified Special Education Teacher with valid credentials
- Previous experience working with K-8th grade students is highly valued
- Understanding of diverse behavioral strategies and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Ability to adapt instruction based on student needs and progress
- Enthusiasm for fostering inclusion and promoting positive student outcomes
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored instruction to meet individual student learning plans
- Develop, implement, and track progress on IEP goals
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and parents
- Utilize a wide range of teaching methods to encourage student engagement
- Address and manage varying behavioral needs with empathy and effective strategies
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and participation
