Step into a rewarding contract position supporting K-8 students for the 2026-2027 academic year as a Special Education Teacher. Youll be instrumental in helping students thrive academically and emotionally in a supportive resource classroom atmosphere. This role runs from ASAP through May 2026 and offers both in-person and virtual interview options for your convenience.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid state certification in Special Education
- Experience or training in K-8 special education settings
- Knowledge of resource classroom models and individualized instruction
- Ability to manage a range of student behaviors with patience and skill
- Strong collaboration skills to work alongside general education teachers, families, and support staff
- Passion for fostering inclusion and differentiated learning
- Excellent communication and record-keeping abilities
What You'll Do:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to support diverse learning needs
- Create a supportive classroom environment tailored to academic and behavioral goals
- Modify lessons to meet students where they are, incorporating multi-sensory instructional strategies
