Job Description
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the 20262027 school year at a school district in Warren, MI. This role focuses on delivering tailored instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in an onsite classroom setting.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet student needs
- Monitoring and documenting student progress regularly
- Collaborating closely with general education teachers, families, and support staff
- Applying behavior and academic interventions to promote student success
- Maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Teaching License with a Special Education endorsement
- Certification in CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or willingness to obtain and renew certification annually
- Experience working with students with special needs is preferred
There are two positions available: one supporting an Early Childhood special education classroom and the other a High School special education classroom. Both roles are onsite only, allowing direct engagement with students and staff.
