Key Qualifications:

• Michigan Special Education certification is required
• Background in special education teaching, with experience at the elementary level preferred
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with staff, administrators, and families
• Ability to develop, adapt, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Familiarity with a variety of instructional strategies and behavioral interventions

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct academic, behavioral, and social support to elementary-aged students within a resource classroom setting
• Design and deliver individualized lesson plans tailored to diverse student needs
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to encourage growth
• Work collaboratively with general educators and support staff to promote student success and inclusion
• Maintain up-to-date records, assessments, and compliance with state and federal regulations
• Actively participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development
