Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting students in a resource setting for grades Kindergarten through 5th. This full-time position is based near Mt Clemens, MI, and runs from ASAP through June, offering you the chance to make a substantial difference in young learners lives during the school year.

Your work will focus on providing individualized support and instruction for SPED students, ensuring their learning experiences are engaging, inclusive, and tailored to their unique needs within the resource setting. Partner with fellow educators and support staff as you help students build confidence and achieve their educational goals.

What were looking for:

• Valid Michigan Special Education (SPED) Teacher license
• Experience working with K-5th grade students
• Familiarity with resource room or pull-out models of instruction
• Strong organizational and communication abilities
• Commitment to fostering a positive, supportive classroom environment
• Collaborative mindset to engage with parents, therapists, and other educators

In this role, you will:

• Develop, implement, and track Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Deliver differentiated instruction to small groups or individual students
• Adapt curriculum to meet the goals and accommodations for each student
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Lead or participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on multidisciplinary teams
• Communicate regularly with families about student growth and needs
• Support students with behavioral, emotional, or learning challenges
