Make a meaningful difference in the lives of K-5 students as a Special Education Teacher in a contract role designed to fit your expertise and passion. In this onsite position, you'll support young learners as a Learning Behavior Specialist, providing tailored instruction and strategies to help students reach their fullest potential.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelors degree in teaching from an accredited college or university
- Active Pennsylvania State Special Education Certification K-8 or N12 (required)
- Previous experience with K-5th grade students preferred
- Strong understanding of learning and behavioral differences
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support for students with diverse learning needs in grades K-5
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with families and team members
- Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment to foster student engagement
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
- Coordinate with general education staff, related service providers, and families to ensure student success
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal special education regulations
