Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid Oregon Special Education teaching license (required)
• Experience in adapting curriculum for diverse learners
• Strong classroom management abilities
• Skill in developing IEPs and tracking student progress
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with staff and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to assigned students, adapting lessons and strategies to meet IEP goals
• Manage a caseload ranging from fewer than 20 to approximately 35 students, depending on the site
• Serve K2, 36, 712, or K12 age groups, matched to placement
• Collaborate with and, where assigned, provide direction to instructional assistants
• Maintain compliance with state and federal education regulations
• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
• Document student progress and participate in IEP meetings
