Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active North Carolina Special Education License required
  • Proven classroom experience working with high school-aged students
  • Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
  • Strong background in behavior management; experience supporting students with behavioral challenges is highly desirable
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships within a team

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction to diverse learners in accordance with IEPs
  • Collaborate with support staff, specialists, and families to promote the academic and behavioral success of each student
  • Develop lesson plans, track student progress, and document educational outcomes
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies and behavior interventions
  • Serve as an advocate for students while maintaining clear, professional communication with parents and colleagues

This position covers a full-time school schedule, Monday through Friday, working with a high school-aged caseload. Your expertise and compassion will be crucial in creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
