Key Qualifications:

  • Current GA Special Education teaching license (please confirm qualifying credentials)
  • Prior experience handling severe behavioral needs in school-aged children, preferably in middle grades
  • Confidence working directly with students who may display aggressive behaviors
  • Strong communication, de-escalation, and behavioral intervention skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with classroom support staff (Para, RBT, CNA, or LPN)
  • Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction adapted to both academic and behavioral needs
  • Implement and track behavioral intervention plans with fidelity
  • Develop a trusting, positive relationship with the assigned student
