An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students in a school setting in Waco, Texas. This full-time contract position involves working 37.5 hours per week, five days a week, focusing on delivering specialized educational programs tailored to students individual needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing, implementing, and adapting Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Collaborating with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure an inclusive and effective learning environment.
- Monitoring student progress and making appropriate instructional adjustments.
- Maintaining detailed records and reports in compliance with school policies and state regulations.
- Participating in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education.
Qualifications:
- Valid Texas special education teaching certification is required.
- Experience working with K-12 students in inclusive and specialized instructional settings is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics and provide individualized attention.
