Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Active Alabama K-12 Special Education licensure (required)
• Experience working with elementary or middle school students, preferably in both self-contained and collaborative classroom environments
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate instruction effectively
• Collaborative mindset for working alongside general education teachers, aides, and support staff
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, families, and colleagues
• Positive attitude, adaptability, and a genuine passion for student-centered learning

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each students learning goals and needs
• Design engaging, differentiated lesson plans that encourage academic and social growth
• Track progress, document outcomes, and adjust strategies to ensure student success
• Participate actively in IEP meetings, student assessments, and staff collaborations
• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom culture where every child feels valued
• Maintain communication with families and team members to support overall well-being
