Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification
  • Experience working with students in Pre-K, Kindergarten, elementary, middle school, and high school (Grades K-12)
  • Proficiency in modifying instruction for a variety of learning needs and styles
  • Strong classroom management and organizational abilities
  • Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and documentation
  • Effective communication with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans meeting IEP goals and grade-level standards
  • Deliver instruction in multiple subject areas, with an emphasis on math when needed
  • Create supportive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environments for learners across grade bands
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure coordinated educational strategies
  • Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Communicate regularly with families, providing updates on progress and strategies for at-home support
