Key Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with a range of grade levels, from Pre-K and Kindergarten through 12th Grade
- Strong background in differentiated instruction and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Proficiency in adapting Math curriculum for various learning needs
- Effective communication skills to engage with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Flexibility and creativity in classroom management
- Familiarity with modern teaching technologies and strategies
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement customized lesson plans for students with a variety of learning differences
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to enhance student growth
- Maintain and monitor IEPs, ensuring accommodations and modifications are followed
- Use data-driven strategies to assess and support academic progress, focusing on both group and one-on-one settings
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages engagement and social-emotional growth
- Adapt Math curricula and teaching approaches to best support individual student goals
