Job Description

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid state teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Experience teaching multiple grade bands (Pre-K, Elementary, Middle, or High School)
  • Strong background in adapting math instruction for learners with varying abilities
  • Proven success implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach with staff and families
  • Patience, empathy, and dedication to student growth and achievement
  • Familiarity with early childhood and K-12 classroom management strategies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver inclusive, differentiated lessons for students in grades Pre-K through 12, with a focus on math and core subjects
  • Develop, implement, and track progress on IEPs for each student
  • Utilize assessment data to adapt instruction and measure student outcomes
  • Foster a positive, encouraging classroom environment that nurtures both academic and social-emotional growth
  • Engage with parents, caregivers, and counselors to ensure consistent support for each learner
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning sessions
