Step into a rewarding educational environment serving local elementary and middle school students as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming academic year. This full-time, onsite contract runs from August 24, 2026, to June 10, 2027, with a 35-hour work week. Multiple openings are available (four at the elementary level, one at the middle school level), offering the chance to have a meaningful impact at different grade levels.
Your expertise will shine as you deliver targeted instruction, develop engaging lesson plans aligned with state and district standards, and employ effective classroom strategies to support diverse learners. Candidates should be well-versed in subject matter, demonstrate strong instructional capabilities, and exhibit proficiency in managing classroom and behavioral challenges.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required (necessary to obtain an emergency teaching permit)
- Active certification/licensure appropriate for special education caseloads
- Experience working in schools, specifically urban environments
- Must be able to complete all required Pennsylvania educational clearances
- Reliable transportation to commute onsite daily
- Available to work onsite from 8:30AM to 4PM; please note the schedule cannot be modified
- Strong classroom and behavioral management skills
- Comfort and adaptability within district procedures and environments
