Step into an engaging opportunity supporting elementary students (K-2) as a Special Education Teacher in a vibrant urban school environment. This full-time, onsite contract runs from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027, offering the chance to make a meaningful difference in young learners lives. Qualifications and Experience Sought:

• Active certification/licensure appropriate for the K-2 caseload (required)
• Bachelors degree required; eligibility for PA emergency teaching permit if needed
• Proven experience in school settings, ideally in urban districts
• Strong classroom and behavioral management expertise
• Comfortable with district/location expectations
• Reliable transportation for punctual, on-site attendance (8:30AM4:00PM, 35 hrs/week)
• Completion of all PA required clearances prior to start

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver dynamic lessons, aligned with current state and district standards
• Use formative assessment and differentiation to drive instruction and meet diverse student needs
• Utilize mastery of special education instructional strategies and resources
• Foster a supportive, well-managed classroom environment conducive to individualized learning
• Collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff to develop and implement IEPs
• Maintain accurate records and complete necessary reporting and documentation
