Step into an impactful contract opportunity supporting middle school students as a Special Education Teacher for the 20262027 academic year. This full-time, onsite role offers a dynamic setting to apply your instructional expertise and make a genuine difference in an urban school environment. The position runs from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027, with a schedule of 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Daily hours will be 8:30AM4PM or 8AM3:15PM, as determined prior to the start date.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid and active Special Education teaching certification or licensure for caseload
• Bachelors degree required (to qualify for emergency teaching permit if necessary)
• Demonstrated mastery in special education subject matter, curriculum design, and resource utilization
• Experience working in a school environment, with emphasis on urban settings
• Proven classroom management and behavioral intervention skills
• Strong lesson planning aligned with state and district standards, using assessment to differentiate instruction
• Familiarity and comfort with district and school community expectations
• Ability to complete all required Pennsylvania clearances before starting
• Reliable transportation for onsite attendance; punctuality and daily presence required
• Flexible within specified work hours (no schedule accommodations available)
