Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or higher in teaching from an accredited college or university
  • Valid Pennsylvania State Special Education Certification (K-8 or N12)
  • Previous experience in special education or related settings is highly valued
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and implement tailored instructional strategies
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct special education services to K-5 students with diverse learning and behavioral needs
  • Develop, implement, and track IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Adapt and differentiate lesson materials to meet individual student goals
  • Offer guidance and support to families and classroom staff
  • Monitor progress and maintain accurate records of student development
  • Participate in professional development and ongoing staff meetings as required
