Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher in teaching from an accredited college or university
- Valid Pennsylvania State Special Education Certification (K-8 or N12)
- Previous experience in special education or related settings is highly valued
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and implement tailored instructional strategies
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct special education services to K-5 students with diverse learning and behavioral needs
- Develop, implement, and track IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Adapt and differentiate lesson materials to meet individual student goals
- Offer guidance and support to families and classroom staff
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate records of student development
- Participate in professional development and ongoing staff meetings as required
