Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university
- Hold a valid South Carolina Department of Education teaching license in a special education area (such as Learning Disabilities, Multi-categorical, or Emotional Disabilities)
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for nurturing inclusive learning environments
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored instruction and support based on students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Develop differentiated lesson plans that address multiple learning styles and abilities
- Employ evidence-based interventions and positive behavior strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance with state regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions
- Work up to 37.5 hours per week; specific caseload will be determined once hired
- Uphold the school calendar, with a contract tentatively running from August 4, 2026 through May 27, 2027
