Make a meaningful difference supporting students as a Special Education Teacher working with a diverse age range, from early childhood to high school. This contract position offers the opportunity to collaborate with dedicated educators and provide individualized instruction in subjects such as math, helping students achieve their academic and developmental goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification with Special Education endorsement.
- Experience teaching one or more of the following: Pre-K, Kindergarten, Grades 1-5, Grades 6-8, Grades 9-12, or high school subjects.
- Familiarity with creating and implementing IEPs.
- Strong background or interest in teaching math to various grade levels.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment for students with a range of abilities.
- Effective communication skills for interactions with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver differentiated instruction tailored to student needs from early childhood up through secondary grades.
- Develop, monitor, and revise Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with colleagues and parents.
- Employ a variety of instructional strategies to support achievement in math and other core subjects.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods to ensure positive academic and behavioral outcomes.
- Partner with general education teachers to promote student integration and success in the classroom.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, interventions, and communications.
- Foster a positive, respectful classroom culture centered on growth and achievement.
