Job Description

Bring your passion for individualized education to an engaging environment supporting elementary learners in special education! This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by working with students in grades K-5 in a resource room setting. You will guide and nurture approximately 25 students, crafting tailored educational plans and collaborating with a supportive team to promote student success.

Preferred candidates will have previous experience as a special education case manager, although it is not required. Your insight, patience, and dedication will be valued as you empower students and facilitate effective learning strategies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Special Education Teaching certification (appropriate for grades K-5)
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive education and supporting diverse learners
  • Prior background working with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and goal setting
  • Resource room or small group instruction expertise preferred
  • Experience as a case manager is a plus
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver individualized instruction for students with diverse learning needs in a resource room setting
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, collaborating with families and school staff
  • Conduct progress assessments, documenting growth and adjusting learning plans as needed
  • Provide case management for students when required, ensuring compliance and comprehensive support
  • Create an engaging, positive, and safe classroom climate that encourages student participation
