An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher serving elementary students within an established school setting. This contract position spans the 2025-2026 school year and is based in Troy, NY. The role involves providing specialized educational support to a caseload of 20 students, with a focus on delivering individualized instruction and participating in the development and review of IEPs. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to inform educational planning
- Deliver direct instructional support tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during IEP meetings

- Participate in paid team meetings and complete administrative tasks within contracted hours
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State Teaching License with certification in Special Education
- Experience teaching elementary school-aged children in a special education setting
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 20 students effectively
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Location: Troy, NY (within an elementary school environment)
Hours: Approximately 10 hours per week, with paid travel time included; mileage reimbursement details to be confirmed
