What Were Looking For:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification (or eligibility) for K-6 in Alabama
• Experience working with elementary students, particularly in collaborative or self-contained classroom settings
• Strong communication, adaptability, and organizational skills
• Passion for empowering students with diverse learning challenges
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs and work effectively with families and team members

Role Highlights:

• Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
• Serve elementary-aged students (K-6) in both collaborative and self-contained environments
• Manage and provide specialized instruction for a caseload spanning a variety of learning needs
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth and independence
