A Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school serving 1st-grade students on a leave replacement contract. This full-time role begins August, and continues through November, in Mount Holly, NJ.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support in an in-class resource room for 1st grade students.
• Adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of students with special education requirements.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff, including paraprofessionals, to facilitate effective learning.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate with parents and school personnel as appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Valid New Jersey Special Education teaching license preferred.
• Experience working with early elementary students in a special education setting.
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and instructional strategies.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
