  • Skilled in participating in IEP meetings and communicating effectively with families and staff
  • Eager to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, supporting student learning from multiple perspectives
  • Familiarity with Kansas school systems is an advantage, but open to strong candidates from other backgrounds
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and time management skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and specialized services in resource room or self-contained environments as assigned
  • Develop, modify, and evaluate Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in accordance with state standards
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and related service providers to support student progress
  • Monitor student growth and adjust instructional methods as needed
  • Attend and participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff collaboration sessions
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages student engagement and achievement
