This is a contract position providing direct support and instruction to students across early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school levels. With multiple openings available onsite, youll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a supportive environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet diverse student needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid state certification in Special Education or eligibility to obtain licensure by the start date
- Experience working within special education settings (early childhood, elementary, middle, or high school populations preferred)
- Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, progress monitoring, and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
- Adaptability and compassion for working with students with varied learning abilities and backgrounds
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to each students Individualized Education Program (IEP)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure holistic support for students
- Develop and update IEPs, maintain accurate records, and monitor student progress toward goals
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student independence and success
- Employ data-driven strategies and evidence-based practices to enhance student achievement
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and district-wide special education initiatives
