Job Description

Step into a role dedicated to fostering growth and achievement for elementary students in a supportive educational setting. This opportunity is for a skilled Special Education Teacher with a passion for guiding 1st4th graders in a resource setting classroom. The position is full-time, spanning from late August through mid-June, and offers the chance to collaborate with a team of educators, including case managers, one-on-one paraprofessionals, and behavior analysts.

Youll play a key part in individualized education plans and classroom instruction, with your caseload thoughtfully shared among three case managers (approximately 1520 students per manager). Your focus will be on personalized learning, often working within the resource setting and occasionally supporting inclusion through push-in services.

Qualifications:

  • Active New Hampshire Educator Teaching Certification
  • Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher with elementary-aged children, specifically 1st4th grades
  • Knowledge of developing and implementing IEPs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Organized, adaptable, and passionate about inclusive education

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and behavioral support for students on your caseload
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in coordination with service providers and families
  • Collaborate with fellow case managers, paraprofessionals, and behavioral staff
  • Ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Engage in occasional pre/post-planning days as needed
