Job Description

Several contract openings are available for dedicated special education teachers looking to inspire and support students across elementary, middle, and high school settings for the 2026-2027 academic year. Opportunities span a variety of center-based programs and learning support roles in vibrant, collaborative school communities.

What were looking for:

  • Active Colorado Department of Education certification with a Special Education endorsement
  • Experience with structured learning services (SLS), affective needs (AN), or significant support needs (SSN) programs highly desirable
  • Confidence working with students exhibiting more intensive behaviors (hitting, biting, eloping, emotional dysregulation), especially in SLS settings
  • Competency in utilizing AAC devices a plus
  • Able to build essential life and social skills for students with significant autism and emotional needs
  • Skilled in collaborating with paraprofessionals, co-teachers, and intervention specialists
  • Familiarity with elementary through high school age groups

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing classroom-based instruction and individualized support in full-time roles (35+ hours/week)
  • Adapting lessons and strategies to accommodate a wide range of abilities and behavioral needs
  • Leading teams of paraprofessionals and working alongside other educators and service providers
  • Developing and implementing IEPs and behavior intervention plans
  • Building strong relationships with students, families, and staff to foster a positive learning environment

On-site roles are available at several campuses in Broomfield, Northglenn, and Thornton, ranging from K-2nd grade classrooms to high school SSN programs. Youll join schools committed to helping every child thrive.
