Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Current certification in Special Education (Texas credentials preferred)
• Proven experience working with students with various disabilities and developmental needs
• Strong understanding of differentiated instruction, IEP process, and behavior management strategies
• Ability to adapt and modify lessons to inspire student engagement and achievement
• Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and school staff
• Experience with progress monitoring and data-driven interventions

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student strengths and areas for growth
• Deliver instruction in resource, inclusion, and/or self-contained settings in alignment with district standards and student needs
• Foster a classroom atmosphere that promotes respect, positive behavior, and academic curiosity
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to coordinate student supports
• Maintain accurate records, monitor student progress, and communicate regularly with families
• Participate actively in ARD/IEP meetings, professional development, and school initiatives
