Job Description

Make a significant impact as a Special Education Teacher at an Intensive Learning Center specializing in serving students with high behavioral needs. Key Qualifications:

  • Valid or pending New Mexico Special Education Licensure (open to candidates in process)
  • Experience teaching or supporting students in special education settings preferred
  • Familiarity with behavioral intervention strategies a plus
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to fostering a safe and supportive classroom environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction aligned with students learning plans
  • Implement behavioral management techniques and interventions tailored to each students needs
  • Develop and adapt curriculum to address diverse learning styles
  • Track progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP development and meetings
  • Collaborate closely with fellow educators, support staff, and families
  • Create an engaging, structured environment that promotes both academic and social-emotional growth

This is a contract position covering the academic calendar from August 10, 2026, through May 20, 2027. Standard hours are 37.5 per week, onsite only. Youll work alongside a passionate and experienced community, supporting young learners in need of intensive guidance.
