Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience with both resource and self-contained classroom models
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Ability to adapt curriculum and teaching styles for diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction to students with varying abilities in resource and self-contained classes
- Develop, implement, and track individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with parents and specialists
- Adapt lessons to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
- Work with colleagues to ensure the academic, social, and emotional success of all students
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district, state, and federal policies
- Participate actively in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
