A Special Education Teacher with expertise in telehealth instruction is sought to support students in a virtual ECATS program serving private day schools. This full-time contract position is located in Norfolk, VA, and spans the 20262027 academic year, starting in early August and concluding in early June.

Responsibilities include managing a caseload of students across multiple schools, providing specialized instruction, and ensuring compliance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The role requires leading IEP meetings, conducting assessments, and collaborating with the Special Education team to maintain quality services. Timely reporting to the director of Special Education is essential, alongside overseeing case management responsibilities.

Key Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Virginia special education teaching license
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple cases with minimal supervision
• Proven experience in leading IEP meetings and completing assessments accurately and efficiently
• Strong organizational skills to maintain compliance and reporting standards
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and administration
• Experience or comfort with telehealth education platforms preferred
