Job Description

A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for middle school students in grades 6-12. This contract position requires dedication to supporting students in Special Education through telehealth services.

Location: Sterling Heights, MI

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to middle school students in grades 6-12 with diverse learning needs
  • Deliver telehealth sessions effectively while adhering to established educational standards and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Maintain regular communication with students and ensure availability during school hours for scheduled sessions
  • Collaborate with educational staff to monitor progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed

Qualifications:

  • Michigan Special Education teaching certification (Emergency permits will not be accepted)
  • Experience working with middle school students in grades 6-12
  • Ability to be fully available during school hours with no conflicting jobs or obligations
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in virtual teaching methods
