Job Description
A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for middle school students in grades 6-12. This contract position requires dedication to supporting students in Special Education through telehealth services.
Location: Sterling Heights, MI
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to middle school students in grades 6-12 with diverse learning needs
- Deliver telehealth sessions effectively while adhering to established educational standards and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain regular communication with students and ensure availability during school hours for scheduled sessions
- Collaborate with educational staff to monitor progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
Qualifications:
- Michigan Special Education teaching certification (Emergency permits will not be accepted)
- Experience working with middle school students in grades 6-12
- Ability to be fully available during school hours with no conflicting jobs or obligations
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in virtual teaching methods
