A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for middle school students in grades 6-12 within a telehealth setting. This contract position requires delivering specialized instruction and support tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small group instruction aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students in grades 6-12.
• Utilize telehealth platforms to engage students in remote learning while ensuring compliance with state guidelines.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and school staff to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as necessary.
• Conduct assessments and maintain accurate records of student data.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development related to special education practices.

Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Special Education teaching certification; emergency permits will not be accepted.
• Proven experience working with middle school students in grades 6-12.
• Ability to meet students during regular school hours without other employment or obligations.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, best practices, and telehealth technology.
• Effective communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues.

Location:

• Position is based in Dearborn, MI, with telehealth delivery during school-day hours.
