Passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs? Special Education Teachers are needed in Massachusetts for contract opportunities with flexible start dates. Youll support students across a variety of classroom settings, ranging from kindergarten to grade 12, in a role that expects adaptability, empathy, and strong instructional skills.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid Massachusetts Special Education teaching license (required)
- Experience with K-12 populations and a range of educational or behavioral needs
- Comfortable working in different classroom environments, including resource, self-contained, or inclusion settings
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to partner with educational staff, families, and service providers
- Flexibility to manage shifting caseloads or grade levels as assigned
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
- Provide differentiated instruction tailored to individual learning styles and needs
- Monitor and assess student progress while maintaining accurate documentation
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and specialists to foster an inclusive school environment
- Utilize evidence-based strategies for classroom management and instruction
- Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and ongoing student support planning
