A school is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join their team on a contractual basis in Suwanee, GA. This role involves working directly with students who have diverse learning needs, creating individualized education plans, and collaborating with staff to provide tailored support that fosters academic and social growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet student needs
- Modify and adapt curriculum to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Work closely with parents, staff, and specialists to create a supportive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior
- Participate in professional development and team meetings to enhance teaching methods
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification or license
- Experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
