Qualifications:

  • Active Arizona Special Education Teacher Certification
  • Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (or ability to obtain/maintain)
  • Experience in Resource or High School settings preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development/implementation and case management

Responsibilities:

  • Case management for high school students with IEPs
  • Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations
  • Deliver direct instruction tailored to IEP objectives
  • Create and sustain a continuum of instructional services
  • Keep detailed and accurate student records
  • Consult in the Response to Intervention (RtI) process
  • Communicate regularly with families and guardians
  • Provide and implement behavior management supports/behavior intervention plans
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective accommodations and modifications
  • Foster a safe and positive learning environment
  • Additional duties as needed
