Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current certification or licensure in special education as required by state regulations
• Experience working with various grade levels (Pre-K through 12th grade), especially in inclusive and resource settings
• Strong knowledge of developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Skillful in adapting Math and general curriculum content to meet diverse learning needs
• Compassionate communicator with students, families, and educational teams
• Proficiency in classroom management and behavioral intervention strategies
• Previous contract, travel, or substitute teaching experience is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to students with varying learning needs, both individually and in small groups
• Develop and regularly update IEPs in collaboration with support staff and families
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary
• Create a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
• Work closely with general education teachers to coordinate inclusive practices and support transitions between grade levels
• Participate in meetings, professional development, and ongoing communication with families and colleagues
