Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential (state-issued or transferable)
- Experience working with students in Pre-K, Kindergarten, elementary, middle, or high school (all grade levels considered)
- Knowledge of instructional best practices in special education and differentiation
- Ability to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Proficiency in classroom behavior management and student engagement
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational teams
- Experience in delivering instruction in math and supporting students across multiple subjects is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction to meet the varied learning needs of students with disabilities across assigned grade levels
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as necessary
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and support
