A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available within a K-12 school setting located in Summerville, SC. This contract position spans the complete school year (CSY) and offers an in-person work environment as a W2 contract employee. The role includes three openings focused on providing specialized educational support within resource and self-contained classrooms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction tailored to students with diverse learning needs in both resource and self-contained settings.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet academic and developmental goals.
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports social, emotional, and academic growth.
• Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and staff to ensure student success and address challenges.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for K-12 education.
• Experience working with students requiring special education services, preferably in resource and self-contained classrooms.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and behavior management techniques.
• Ability to collaborate with educators, therapists, and families.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
