Step into a rewarding teaching opportunity supporting Pre-K students as a Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year. Position Details:
- Contract runs from August 24, 2026, through November 13, 2026
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
- Focused in one school buildingno need to travel between sites
- Serve as a key resource for pre-kindergarten children, creating a lasting impact at the very start of their educational journey
Qualifications:
- Valid and current dual certification in both Early Childhood Education and Special Education (required)
- Demonstrated experience or strong interest in working with preschool-age children with diverse learning needs
- Ability to develop and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with families and fellow educators
- Organized, flexible, and passionate about inclusive education practices
Responsibilities:
- Implement effective instructional strategies for a classroom of 10-15 Pre-K students with varying learning abilities
- Develop, monitor, and update IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Create a safe and supportive classroom environment that fosters each childs social, emotional, and academic growth
- Partner closely with families, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Maintain consistent records of progress and foster strong communication with all stakeholders
