Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid 165 Comprehensive Special Education Certification
- Previous experience teaching middle or high school students preferred
- Deep understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong classroom management and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver differentiated instruction adapted to meet individual learning and behavioral needs
- Administer and track progress on individualized goals for students across various subjects
- Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, related service providers, and administrative staff
- Maintain meticulous records, documentation, and compliance with all federal and state special education regulations
- Offer support and guidance to students and families, building trusting relationships that facilitate student achievement and confidence
- Participate in meetings, professional development, and school initiatives to further enhance instructional practices
