A Special Education Teacher opportunity is available in the Atlanta, GA area, serving K-12 students. This full-time contract role involves working 37.5 hours per week over five days, providing specialized instruction and support tailored to diverse learner needs in a school setting.
Qualifications:
- Valid Georgia Special Education (SPED) Teaching License
- Experience working with K-12 students with special needs
- Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and behavior management strategies
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and educational teams
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and interventions according to each students IEP
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, and parents to support student success
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that promotes learning and growth
